Hello doll lovers! This blog was created to tell you about dolls I have made and classes I teach on doll making at Attic Window Quilt Shop in Comstock Park, Michigan (a suburb of Grand Rapids). My goal in teaching is to pass on the love of making heirloom quality dolls. Most of the dolls I make (and hold classes for) are designed by Gail Wilson - visit her website at www.gailwilsondesigns.com . Page down my blog for some fun doll links including antique doll sites and hard to find doll supplies.

The easy hat

Hi all - some of you have been asking to see the hat on the pincushion doll. I will try and get that taken and posted within a few days, but here is a preliminary picture of the hat in the early stage - before the trim is on. You can see it is a very simple hat, so it goes together very easily.

The hat is included in the Kate Greenaway patterns from Gail Wilson's Kate Greenaway dolls (boy and girl). The pattern is available on Gail's website: http://www.gailwilsondesigns.com/

Here is a picture of the Kate Greenaway dolls. I made two sets, one in gold, and one set in blue.

  1. Hi Julie, don't know why it has taken me so long to visit your blog; such great dolls, and I love the hat! Your pincushion doll looks like she is ready to step out in style :-)
